Stanford Data Science: COVID-19 Data Forum

Stanford Data Science, in partnership with the R-Consortium, hosts the public COVID-19 Data Forum on 10 December 2020 @ 12PM Eastern.

The December COVID-19 Data Forum public webinar and discussion will continue to look beyond case count data. The focus will shift to mobility data, which has the potential to answer crucial questions regarding the pathways of pandemic spread and the efficacy of social distancing policies. The event will bring together experts generating and using mobility data to discuss access to the variety of data sources, the differences among them, the potential challenges to privacy, and the utility for modeling and public health decision making.

  • Christophe Fraser- Professor of Pathogen Dynamics at University of Oxford and Senior Group Leader at Big Data Institute, Oxford University, UK.
